The waist is compressive just like Aurola shorts, and the material is a little thicker (which I prefer). The only issue I have is that they are see-through when bending over which isn't ideal for RDLs. I still love them, just won't be wearing them for leg days.
These are amazing. They’re much longer than the pictures. I’m 5’8” and 140lbs, 26” waist and 40” glutes, small is just a tad snug, so I might go up next time.
